Job Title:        Facilities Manager

Department:  Tool Room Personnel

Shift:              1st Shift

Pay Rate:       $23/HR –  $25.00/HR

QSR a Datwyler company located in Jasper, Texas is looking for a Tool Room Personnel. The Tool Room Personnel’s primary goal is to provide support to manufacturing, engineering, project managers, and maintenance by way of maintaining, modifying, or manufacturing tooling, parts or components and support the manufacturing process.

Essential Duties:

  • Utilize shop equipment to manufacture or modify parts or components to be used on tools, parts or other components.
  • Perform maintenance on shop equipment such as:

1.  Change blades on vertical and horizontal band saws.

2.  Change sanding belts and discs on belt/disc sander.

3.  Change grinding wheels on bench and surface grinders.

4.  Add or change coolant in machine tools.

  • Use work order system to process work.
  • Use the inventory system to insure proper maintenance of inventory.
  • Read mechanical drawings.

Non-Essential Duties:

  • Provide managers with ideas or suggestions to improve project design, manufacturing processes.

Qualifications:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience:  

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in welding
  • Pass an on-site welding test
  • CNC Programming experience

Language Skills:                                                      

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

 Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.

Computer Skills:                  

  • Some computer knowledge will be required.

Tools, Equipment, and Material Requirements:

1. Tools:

a.  Precision measuring instruments such as: micrometers, calipers, depth micrometers, tape               measures, dial bore gages, gage pins, gage blocks, depth gages, protractors, and squares.

b.  Mechanics tools such as: screwdrivers, wrenches, hammers, hex key wrenches, ratchets and         sockets.

2. Equipment:

a. Manual machine tools such as: lathes, vertical milling machines, vertical and horizontal band          saws, belt/disc sander, drill press, hand drill, die grinders, bench and surface grinders,                    overhead hoist, forklift, and drill sharpener.

b. CNC equipment (Computer Numeric Controlled) such as: a small Okuma turning center and a         large Okuma milling center.

3. Material used:

a. Non-ferrous metals such as: aluminum, brass, bronze, and copper.

b. Ferrous metals such as cold drawn steels, stainless steels, hot rolled steels, and tool steels.

c. Non-metal materials such as: polypropylene, glasstherm, glass field Teflon, plain Teflon, nylon        and delrin.
