Datwyler offers comprehensive product development services when you need them. A team with advanced material, tooling, process and product expertise works closely with customers to define requirements, optimize design outputs, and prove out designs through our Product Test Lab.

Datwyler’s extensive engineering capabilities are enhanced through the following state-of-the-art software programs:

  • 3D modeling software is used to assist in product design and mold design and provides the latest in data translation.
  • Finite Element Analysis (FEA) provides cutting-edge techniques that are necessary for obtaining solutions for complex applications.  FEA also offers the ability to create numerous real-world iterations without cutting steel, saving both time and money.

Rapid Prototyping

DLP-based 3D printer utilizes a true 4M pixel projector with UV optics tuned to 385nm wavelength.

Datwyler uses state-of-the-art 3D printers to produce “Quik-Mold” prototypes, saving time to production. With this capability, we can produce functional parts from production materials in as little as 1-2 days.

Multiple samples and versions can be molded at the same time from the following material types:

  • HCR Silicone, Fluorosilicone
  • Shore A durometer 18 thru 60
  • Dry and inherently lubricated compounds
  • Specialty materials such as electro and thermal conductive compounds
  • FKM C4611 & C6019

NOTE: Specialty materials may be optional upon request.
